This is a heavily annotated typescript document in old German. Douglas Bush's handwritten notes included on how to interpret the document and notes on how he should write his article. The article itself outlines and follows Schlick's life and gives biographical information.

This series contains Gordon Childs' personal arrangements and edits of viola d'amore pieces. The materials are in the form of printed music scores, Gordon Childs’ personal handwritten manuscripts of his arrangements, and photocopied music scores. Many of the scores have added annotations and markings by Childs. Dated circa 1700-1799 with the bulk being between 1935-1999.

The collection includes a rare piece of music given to him by the well-known composer, Vaclav Nelhybel, to perform. Dated 1782-2014 with the bulk being from 1900-2014.

Scope and Contents This subseries contains musical scores from Daniel Thomason’s personal music library that he gave to Childs. These scores are in the form of printed music, photocopies of original manuscripts and include Thomason’s own arrangements. The collection also contains a piece written for the very first viola congress that Childs performed with Thomason and Myron Rosenblum in June 1982.
